IT’S KANAVAAAL!!!
Caribbean people, if you’re ready to jump-up and wave your flags way up in the air, there’s only event that brings it to you every year, the Boston Carnival. Since its creation back in 1973, it has kept its mission alive and well in the community.
So, Saturday August 24th, come and dance the day away while enjoying the aroma of Caribbean cuisine. From Jamaican Jerk chicken to Haitian Griyo, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Bare in mind, the event starts from 6AM (J’ouvert) until 8PM, according to authorities. This is of course a time for local and international communities to come together with family and friends to celebrate peacefully.
The Haitian community will be represented by SmoovNetwork, and they count on your presence at their Pre-Carnival Bash, which will be held at Tamboo Bistro the night before. Among other events, we have a Gala on August 9th organized by the Caribbean American Carnival Association of Boston. On August 11th, Kiddies Carnival. On August 22nd, King and Queen competition. And on August 24th, the Boston Carnival with new route, more roads and plenty of vibes. Be there!
